Question 1 of 8
Your interior design style
Scandinavian
Sleek lines, glass + metal accents, dramatic lighting.

Drag to compare. The same living room, before and in Modern.
Modern interior design is a style built on straight lines, flat planes and a short list of materials: glass, polished metal, lacquer and smooth dark wood. Ornament is removed. The shape of each object does the work.
Palettes that suit it
- Modern Monochrome
- Crisp Contrast
- Charcoal & Gold
Airy layouts, matte finishes, calm monochrome palettes.

Drag to compare. The same living room, before and in Minimalist.
Minimalist interior design keeps only what a room needs and gives the remaining pieces space around them. Empty wall and bare floor are treated as part of the design, not as gaps waiting to be filled.
Palettes that suit it
- Warm Minimal
- Slate & Sand
- Misty Morning
Soft curves, layered lighting, warm neutrals with contrast.

Drag to compare. The same living room, before and in Contemporary.
Contemporary interior design is the look of the present moment. It borrows from several styles and softens them: rounded furniture, warm neutral colours, mixed textures and light at several heights.
Palettes that suit it
- Calm Neutrals
- Japandi Calm
- Olive Stone
Raw textures, concrete + steel, loft-style openness.

Drag to compare. The same living room, before and in Industrial.
Industrial interior design takes its cues from converted factories and warehouses. Structure is left exposed. Brick, concrete, ducts, pipes and steel beams become the decoration.
Palettes that suit it
- Stone & Moss
- Charcoal Brass
- Slate & Sand
Light woods, cozy textiles, soft greens and whites.

Drag to compare. The same living room, before and in Scandinavian.
Scandinavian interior design is the Nordic approach to a home: pale wood, white walls, soft textiles and simple functional furniture. It was shaped by long dark winters, so it works hard to capture daylight and to feel warm.
Palettes that suit it
- Sage & Cream
- Nordic Light
- Earthy Green
Symmetry, paneled details, rich fabrics and warm metals.

Drag to compare. The same living room, before and in Traditional.
Traditional interior design follows the conventions of classic European and American houses: symmetrical arrangements, wall panelling and mouldings, upholstered furniture with turned or carved legs, and rich fabrics such as velvet, damask and wool.
Palettes that suit it
- Burgundy Elegance
- Charcoal Brass
- Cocoa & Vanilla
Playful mix of art, texture, and bold curated accents.

Drag to compare. The same living room, before and in Eclectic.
Eclectic interior design mixes pieces from different periods, styles and places in one room: a mid-century chair beside an antique chest under a contemporary print. The mix is deliberate. It is held together by repeated colours, consistent scale and a clear editing hand.
Palettes that suit it
- Pastel Play
- Golden Hour
- Graphite Teal

How the quiz finds your style
Each answer adds points to one or two of 7 interior design styles: modern, minimalist, contemporary, industrial, Scandinavian, traditional and eclectic. The style with the most points is your match. The second highest is your runner-up, because most homes mix two styles.
The first question counts the most. You pick a whole room, and a whole room says more about your taste than one sofa does. The other questions look at single choices: furniture shape, materials, lighting, pattern and how much you like to keep on show.
Your result shows your style on the same living room photo as every other style. The walls, windows and camera angle never change, so you compare the design and nothing else. You also see how your answers split between the styles.
What to do with your result
Use the result as a starting point, not a rule. Read the guide for your style to learn its materials, colors and common mistakes. Then look at your runner-up. If your top two styles are close, a mix of both is often the right answer for your home. Scandinavian with minimalist, for example, gives a calm and light room with a little more warmth.
The quickest test is your own room. Take one photo, pick your style, and remyhomeai redesigns that photo in it. Your walls and windows stay where they are, so you see the style on your room and not on a stranger's.
Why your answers can point two ways
Few people live in one pure style. A room grows over years: a sofa from one home, a table from a parent, a lamp from a trip. The quiz shows which way your choices lean, so you can decide what to keep and what to replace.
If your answers split almost evenly, start with the room you use most. Choose one style for the large pieces, such as the sofa, the rug and the main light. Let the second style show in small things that are cheap to change, such as cushions, art and plants.
Style quiz questions
What is my interior design style?
Your interior design style is the look you return to when you choose furniture, colors and materials. This quiz finds it from 8 quick choices and names one of 7 styles: modern, minimalist, contemporary, industrial, Scandinavian, traditional or eclectic.
Do I need to give my email to see my result?
No. The result shows on this page as soon as you answer the last question. There is no email field and no signup.
How accurate is an interior design style quiz?
It is a guide, not a diagnosis. Eight choices cannot capture everything you like. Use the result to narrow your search, then look at the style on a real room before you buy anything.
What if I get two styles?
That is normal. The quiz shows your top match and a runner-up. Use the top style for large pieces and the runner-up for small accents that are easy to change.
What are the main interior design styles?
This quiz uses 7: modern, minimalist, contemporary, industrial, Scandinavian, traditional and eclectic. They cover most homes, and remyhomeai can redesign a photo of your room in each of them.
Can I see my own room in my style?
Yes. Take one photo of your room and sign up for remyhomeai. You get 3 free designs at signup, with no card required. When you sign up from your result on the same device, your quiz style is already selected in the studio.
